This was our 7th cruise with Royal Caribbean, and 2nd time on Oasis of the Seas (first was 2011). We're now a family of 4 with two college-age girls, and we also cruised with my parents (ages 82 and 77). Once again, we had a wonderful vacation with RCCL.

This was our first experience at the new Port Canaveral cruise terminal. We arrived at 1:30pm and used the terminal parking garage, which is literally at the terminal itself, which is really convenient, and worth the $136 in my opinion. This was our first time in a suite - we booked a Junior Suite with Balcony (JS) - and the express lines in the terminal for Suite customers were a nice convenience. We have learned to arrive after 1pm so that our rooms are immediately ready. All luggage was delivered to our room by 3:30pm.

Oasis was largely as we'd remembered it in 2011, and remains our favorite ship, for unique features like Central Park (and its cafe), the Aqua Theater, and the Boardwalk, as well as the running track being mostly covered and on deck 5 (vs. higher decks and wind-exposed on other large ships). Notable differences from 2011 -

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

This was our first suite, after 6 cruises in normal staterooms. The extra 105 square feet made a HUGE difference in our mental state. It's amazing how much freer that makes you feel. Not sure you can really justify paying $2,458 more just for that, but hey, it seemed worth it. (The walk-in closet is great too - we ended up filling maybe half the drawer space, vs. jamming something into every nook and cranny in a typical stateroom.) The Junior Suite also comes with entitlement to have dinners at Coastal Kitchen. We tried once, and found it pretty disappointing - it's basically the same as the dining rooms (I think the menu is identical?), and our service was mediocre at best. We enjoyed the specialty restaurants a lot more.
