The onboard comedians were sub-par. The Asian comedian was decent (B-), but the African American was not good (C-). I can only assume booking comedians over the New Year week is difficult, and the two comedians we got were the extreme bottom of the barrel. The Mama-Mia production was awesome (A). The star of the show (the mom) was especially good (A). Very talented singer! I wish she would've had a bigger role in the 'Blue Planet' production. The 'Blue Planet' production was so-so (B); also, it wasn't clear the 'Blue Planet' was an actual show - we thought it was a movie at first (?) and almost didn't attend. The outdoor Aqua show was not too bad either (B-). The Madagascar aqua show did not live up to its billing (C+). The food in the main dining room was excellent. The morning room service was scattered....on several occasions the items ordered didn't match 100% with what was delivered. Charging $2.50 for popcorn seemed petty. I found the onboard instructional videos on previous RC cruises (~2009-2010) to be much more informative (things like saving beach-chairs with towels, off-boarding and luggage process, etc.). Need to make it clear to guests that 'saving seats' (be it in the Amber theatre or on the sundeck with towels) is not allowed. Towels left unattended on beach chairs for > 30 minutes need to be removed by RC staff. There were several Amber Theatre shows that appeared as 'SRO,' but when we showed up there were plenty of seats available. It's likely that some people skipped shows altogether assuming the shows were sold out - when in fact they were not. Suggest increasing the threshold on when the Amber Theatre appears 'SRO'. Mitch did an excellent job hosting the 'Love & Marriage' game show. The Dazzles bar band (South Side?) was excellent. Seeing them let a wheel-chair bound woman sing a song was especially touching to see and enjoyed by all. The 70's night was awesome. Suggest dumping the 50's/60's night in favor of an 80's/90's night.
