Sail Date: Dec 2017

The cruise had an appealing itinerary together with the opportunity for Christmas in a warmer climate. The cost was at the lower end. I believe we had value for money. The Magellan visited Amsterdam, Vigo, Lisbon, Cape Verde, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Madeira and, Leixoes (for Porto).

We were allocated cabin 5078, adjacent to reception. It was quiet and in mid ships comfortable. In fact although there were up to 6m swells, the ship was reasonably stable.

We dined in the Waldorf restaurant at the early sitting 5:45. We found the food good and the service friendly and quick. We had always finished the 5 course meal by 7,00. The waiters were friendly and always willing to help if needed. Even when fruit was not available for dessert, he was able to produce some.

Cabin Ocean view

Comfortable cabin located mid ships adjacent to reception. Fairly basic but adequate. The tv only had reception some of the time.
