We chose this cruise because the dates worked for us. We drove from Clearwater to out of Port Canaveral on January 5, 2018. First stop was Nassau which was high pressure sales from the locals. We walked to the Queen's Staircase which was interesting. The town is really run down. The second day was supposed to be Coco Cay but the winds were too much for the tenders so we had to stay on the ship all day. The pool is not heated and it was too cold even for the kids. They tried to have fun in the kid area but that was also too cold. There is no large slide or activities for the older kids or adults. There were two soft serve ice cream machines by the pool but that couldn't keep up with the high demand. The buffets and dinner in the dining room were just average. There were up-charge options for those wanting to spend more money. The shows were ok and there were plenty of activities to choose from but nothing that had a 'wow' factor. The ship will be going into dry dock the end of January 2018 and it's definitely ready - dated, rusty and dreary. We will do a cruise again but will chose a better destination and a newer ship with better entertainment and more activities. Since this was the first cruise for the kids - they had nothing to compare to and they had a good time. I got a decent deal and went in with average expectations so it was all good.
