It started out great, leaving NY harbor on the top deck, it was chilly but it was nice to finally be starting the vacation we've been waiting for. The staff was extremely nice and fun to be with, cabin was very comfortable. Everything was going great until Tuesday when we were on Great Stirrup Cay. The weather was getting bad, so they asked us to leave the island and get back to the ship. We left 6 hours early to head back up north. In the forecast there was a nor'easter heading to the Northeast. Not sure who's decision it was to leave early to try to get ahead of the storm. IT WAS THE WORST DECISION SOMEONE COULD MAKE, to put over 3K peoples lives at risk is JUST WRONG. We had a balcony room so we were able to see the seas. It was like the Perfect Storm, if you every saw that movie. The waves were extremely high. The swells were at least 50 feet, glasses following off tables, water coming in through the doors to the decks. Water everywhere! People getting sick everywhere, it was unbelievable. Went to a show and a performer fell from the ring, they stopped the show, saying we are experiencing technical difficulty. They brought a comedian to entertain the rest of the time.
My son and nephew was terrified from Tuesday through Friday. This was certainly not a vacation I was expecting. I am waiting to hear from Norwegian for a voucher for another cruise that I can enjoy.
The cabin was great as was the balcony, but couldn't enjoy it from Tuesday onward.
