This was the best vacation I have ever had. A Viking employee met us at the airport in Munich and got us to the hotel where we stayed for the first three days. The day we arrived at the hotel in Munich we had a wonderful reception and briefing about what was going to happen. The Viking team were professionals from start to finish. We spent 3 days touring in and around Munich and southern Bavaria before we arrived on Viking Hermod in Pasau, Germany. The Bavarian tour guide we had (Michael) was incredible. He was a school teacher and had an in depth knowledge about all the places we visited during the first three days. He made the entire experience both fun and educational at the same time. Our experience on the Viking Hermod was equally outstanding. We had great briefings and entertainment. the Viking buses met us at every port and were never late. All the tours were professionally done and everything worked according to the plan. The crew was friendly and helpful. We traveled with a group of close friends and I think this enhanced our personal vacation experience. The Viking Hermod crew took us safely and professionally along the Danube River through many locks. The Viking tour guide on the Hermond was friendly and his briefings were professionally done helping to prepare us for each new adventure as we travelled along the Danube and headed toward Budapest. The night arrival in Budapest was breath taking. When the cruise was over, the Viking team got us to the departure airport in plenty of time to catch our flight home.
