Wanted to try a Viking Ocean Cruise. In 2007 we took a Viking River Cruise in Russia which was not great.......the ship, food, cabin, etc, were in general BAD. The destinations were most interesting but as a river cruise experience, we have not been on one since.

This Ocean cruise was GREAT except for some really rough weather. The programs and lectures were very interesting, frequent and varied. Accommodations in all areas of the ship were excellent. In particular the free wi-fi seemed to me like a no "brainier." Also the ship was not burdened with the usual jewelry/watch shops, or a casino, which did not please wife.

The crew and staff were always courteous and helpful. I enjoyed the daily tea service and classical music throughout the ship. I thought the main pool was a bit small, however I guess it is commensurate with the ship's size. Food and restaurants were very good. Available laundry/dry cleaning service was also a nice extra.
