I will preface by saying that I am a regular cruiser and have tried many different categories of cruise lines. Of course Regent is up there with one of the best, and I can definitely say that's where they belong.

I went on this cruise with very high expectations, and I am happy to say they were not only met, but exceeded. The ship is very nice and a very comfortable size. Sure, it needs some updating, but there was nothing at all that was unpleasant.

The embarkation was organized and easy, but where they had us waiting in Miami was a little strange. We were in some sort of temporary tent building and it was definitely not luxurious.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Suite

Cabin H

Our cabin was more than comfortable. The shower was huge, as was the walk-in closet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was kept very clean and the room steward was very attentive. The verandah was nice and they had thick cushions to put on the furniture if you wanted to sit outside comfortably. The vanity area was perfect for applying makeup and the lighting was decent.

Port Reviews

Miami

Love Miami. A very exciting, vibrant city.

Costa Maya

Nothing much there. Just took a cab to the main town and walked the beach. All the locals do is hound you to come and pay to sit on "their" beach. The beach wasn't that pretty.

Harvest Caye

This pier was built by NCL in 2016. It is beautiful and large and has a gorgeous swim up huge swimming pool and a beautiful, organized, spotless, well-equipped beach. It is all commercial and overpriced and only for cruise guests. You have to take a small ferry 40 minutes away to get to the mainland. Over there, there is still nothing much to see. People are super nice and friendly. First language here is English, second is Spanish. There are Creole, Mayan and Chinese people. There are obviously larger cities here that tourists go to, but this is not one of them.

Key West

Walked the main street. Tons of bars and little shops. Very cute and quaint. Cuba post - the most southern tip of the United States. Lots of little touristy shops. Good trolley tours.
