We had heard excellent things about VIKING CRUISES from friends who had gone on them in the past. We were excited about the fact that our fare included one complimentary excursion in every port which is not the case on other cruise lines. Also very nice was that air fare to and from ports of embarkation and debarkation was included so that we didn’t have to make those arrangements! Embarkation & disembarkation both went very smoothly. There were plenty of good places to eat! Our cabin was great. We came to know the entertainment director, Aaron. He was a really friendly person. He also did the non-denominational church services every Sunday which we attended. Those were a nice touch, and Aaron did a very good job with those!

We are looking for a cruise for the Inner Passage of Alaska for the summer of 2018. If we could find one from Vinking Ocean Cruises we’d definitely take it.

Cabin Review

I don’t remember the stateroom number, but it was on deck 6 on the port side aft. I still have my ID card, but it does not, naturally, have the number on it in plain language, perhaps in the bar code!

We had requested a handicap accessible cabin; a seat was installed on the toilet with arms very similar to what we have at home. My wife had no problem, thus, using it. I was traveling with a CPAP machine and needed a source of distilled water in my room. I asked and was told to request it at the buffet. The folks there had no idea what a CPAP was, and were no help. But along comes the chief steward(?) of the place and says, “You have a CPAP and need distilled water? “ I said that I did and he wanted my room #. About 20 minutes later they delivered a1.5 liter bottle of distilled water to our room. Service to the room was excellent!
