Cruise was OK. Not all ports of call listed were visited. Some changes were made. Port at embarkation was in Industrial Area and not within walking distance of anything. Very disappointed. Also, on arrival in New York, we docked in another Industrial area and had to be bused into the city which took up time we could have used for other activities. The ship was almost new so there was not any problem with that and the spa area was top shelf. Dinning was pleasurable and food was good in the named restaurants.

Included shore excursions were good with excellent guides. For the most part, paid excursions were well done. However, in some of the smaller ports, there was a lack of sightseeing or points of interest. In one port we had to be tendered to shore, which I dislike as again it takes up time which is at a premium on a cruise when you are on land.

I like Viking and will travel with them again. My be the newness of ocean cruising with Viking will improve. Love their river cruises.

Saguenay

Not much to see and do in Saguenay.

Gaspe

This town was not on original list of ports. It was OK. Had to be tendered into the port. I hate tenders!!!!
