Having taken many cruises a long way from home it was nice to take one close meaning minimal travel. We liked the itinerary as it included a few places where we hadn't been. We missed four of the tender ports due to rough seas which would have been disappointing for those who haven't been there before and came so far but it was unavoidable. We didn't do any of the ship's shore excursions as we found them very expensive. Private tours were much cheaper and able to be modified to suit your preferences and the weather etc.
Entertainment was generally very good as they were having to continually change the schedule due to more days at sea etc. Guest entertainers were very good as was the resident team led by Cruise Director Julie.
The service was excellent in restaurants and bars. We found that they would run out of our favourite wine some days in some bars and then they would find some the next day or they would have it in another bar/restaurant. They obviously don't have a central system where they can find it in a hurry.
Cabin Review
Veranda Stateroom
Although these cabins are small we found it had enough storage space to pack everything away. Bathrooms are small and adequate for one but two cannot fit at once.

Geraldton
Lovely clean town with lots of local volunteers who made it very easy to find everything. Did a private flight over the Pink Lake.
Perth (Fremantle)
Stayed in Fremantle and walked around. Took the local shuttles to the beach.
Adelaide
Did private tour "Bums on Seats" to Barossa Valley.
Melbourne
Took tram to the city and Queen Victoria Markets which are great for food but other aspects have declined since we were last there.
Burnie
Took shuttle round the town. Walked the boardwalk. Another little town where the locals are fully immersed in helping tourists. Went to the Hellyer Rd whisky distillery. Can highly recommend the cafe, fabulous food. Also the Whisky Walk tour is great.
Eden (Australia)
Another lovely little town where the locals could not have been more helpful. Great oysters from the seafood shop in the Main Street.
