This was our 6th cruise and our first with Carnival. This was a cruise for my 67th birthday.

We drove to Port Canaveral and parked at The Park Port Canaveral lot behind the Radisson Hotel, which was reserved online. The embarking was the best ever as was the disembarkation. We always carry our own luggage off the ship. Our cabin was 8384, a balcony cabin that was lovely. It had tons of storage and a large balcony that had comfortable chairs and a table. Our cabin attendant Lasta was the best ever and made sure that our room was cleaned twice a day. The food on the ship was delicious and again the best out of all of cruises. The variety of restaurants that were complimentary was amazing. My favorite was the steak and eggs on the last day brunch in the main dining room. Our waitress, Windy table 128 was excellent. She welcomed us by name and knew what we liked and disliked after the first day. Truly the friendliest. most respectful; and professional staff we have ever seen on a cruise line. We sound out the day of the cruise that we could have brought an 18 pack of soda on board. That would have been nice to have known.

Ok now for the warning: the ventilation system on the ship doesn't appear to have been updated to remove cigarette smoke from the air. I suffer from asthma and could not attend the shows in the main theater due to the presence of smoke in the theater. The staff said that it was because of the proximity to the outside smoking and the casino. These were areas that I also, had to avoid. So, WARNING TO ASTHMA suffers...this is not a ship for you. Many areas smell of smoke and if it is something that sets off an asthma attack - then avoid this ship. Another younger passenger was having the same problem.

Loads of storage space. Suitcases fit under the bed. Lovely patio with chairs that are actually comfortable. Best Balcony we have ever had.
