After reading reviews of MSC in general and the Divina specifically, I was wary of what we might experience. While we did find that MSC does some things differently, we had a great time on our cruise.
The good: The Divina is a beautiful ship and at 6 years of age is still in very good condition. We found the cabin and public areas to be very clean. Shows in the main theatre were outstanding, with more talent among the singers and dancers than we have ever seen on a ship. There was a nice variety of music in the bars and clubs in the evenings. Food in both the lido and main dining rooms showed a wide variety and good quality. Our servers in the dining room were exceptionally good. The embarkation and disembarkation processes were smooth.
The bad: Seating in the lido restaurant was sometimes very difficult to find, especially if all four of us wanted to sit together. Wait time for dinner was irregular, most nights were fine but the kitchen seemed very slow a couple nights. Finding seating in music venues between 7:45 and 8:30 was a huge problem - early dining and late dining people were all out at the same time. This was our first ship with over 4000 passengers and some of the crowding may be due to the size, but some problems related to scheduling that funneled everyone into common areas at the same time.
Our cabin was a typical interior stateroom. We had enough space to store our clothing and other stuff and there seemed to be a little extra room with a chair and table that aren't often in interior rooms.
