This cruise had the itinerary changed because of the hurricanes. We had some new islands to check out and it was very exciting. I loved checking out the pitons and volcano in St Lucia. It was the most exciting excursion I had been to. Went to Megan's Bay for the second time and it is still a beautiful and peaceful beach. They are still getting over the hurricane, but it is still very beautiful. Antigua city tour was very good and we had a great guide, Tony. Unfortunately, the beach was supposed to come with chairs and they didn't have any available. He said they were supposed to space the tours, so we were out of luck. It also included lunch, which was awful.

The food is always good. If you can't find something good to eat on a cruise, I can't figure it out. There's so many choices and if you don't like something, order something else. We went to Cagney's 3 times-always good. Their filet and grilled shrimp is fabulous and always cooked to perfection. I could make a meal of just their appetizers, as they are all good. La Cucina was very good as was Tempanyaki and Le Bistro. I used to love the mussels in Le Bistro, but they changed the sauce and there isn't much flavor. I might skip those next time.

Orchid is their free Asian restaurant. I really enjoy that also. They also have one of my favorite desserts-Tapioca with mango. Delicious. We only ate once in the main dining room. I had one of my favorite meals there. It was veal with button mushrooms and noodles in a butter sauce. It was so good. Of course, I had to end with the chocolate lava cake. I have to have that at least once every cruise. Embarkation and disembarkation were both easy enough. You just have to do some waiting. I like to get there early, to get on the ship as soon as possible. Easy walk off is easy, but you also have to wait. I understand they have to wait for clearance and don't mind waiting. It's the price I pay to get off early.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IA

I received a comped inside cabin through the casino dept and decided to wait and bid. Of course, my bid wasn't accepted. The cabin was fine as I'm barely in it. Our steward was wonderful. There's many shelves and plenty of room for storage. We received towel animals every night and many kind greetings from Emerson.
