Sail Date: Feb 2018
Cabin: Ocean Suite

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with four other couples. Embarkation was delayed by three hours due to the previous cruise needing to make an unscheduled stop to offload a family of thugs. Embarkation was very smooth and quick. Our Ocean Suite was lovely, very roomy and spotlessly clean each day. We ate in Truffles restaurant and the food and waiters were excellent. The buffet on Lido deck had lots of choices for lunch, you would be hard to please if you couldn’t find something to satisfy your taste. Passengers were a mixed bag of ages from young families to older people like us. There were a lot of what I would call middle-aged bogans and the entertainment seemed to be aimed mostly at this demographic, although there were other things to do, like trivia, craft and bingo. We went to MONA while in Hobart and enjoyed the day. We relaxed, read, and enjoyed time with our friends on sea days. We went with a positive attitude and enjoyed our time on board. I’m not sure if we would have enjoyed it so much if we had been on our own. We probably wouldn’t do another Carnival cruise because it’s not really geared to our age or taste. I think we would prefer a smaller ship with less loud and energetic entertainment. Disembarkation was a bit tedious with 2000 plus people to get off in two and a half hours.

Lovely roomy cabin with loads of cupboards, dressing table and large bathroom with spa bath. Large balcony with four chairs and two tables. Serviced beautifully each day.
