End of season deal allowed us to experience a taste of Europe, while gaining our first experience of river cruising. From the cruise director, captain through the crew everybody went out of their way to ensure the best cruise experience ever. The shore excursions were very informative with enough time to explore on your own before returning to the boat. Learning about the local culture, food, and activities was very enlightening. The intimate environment of a couple of hundred passengers meant you got to know or recognize everyone very quickly. The meals were excellent with an offering of the local cuisine of the country we were visiting, and the open dining allowed for more opportunity to mingle and get to know a variety of shipmates. The cabins were very comfortable and functional, although we basically only slept and changed in the room. Post cruise we purchased train tickets to Prague, and the crew made sure we were disembarked in time to catch our train. Though we had pre booked a cruise this year, we have already booked our next years cruise with Viking to try an ocean vessel.
