We chose this cruise because we wanted to try Viking and they had a great price with free airfare.
We didn't get to go to Bermuda because of a storm. The storm caused extreme rocking of the ship which made the first two days not much fun. Because we weren't able to go to Bermuda, we were on the ship from Sunday until Friday when we made our first port. The cruise was relaxing but there wasn't a lot to do in the daytime. There were dance lessons but only about two days I believe. It would have been nice to have dance lessons each day. The food and service was amazing. We ate in the same area so we could have our favorite server Arnold. He was awesome and had such a great sense of humor.
We met a lot of great people on board. We went to most of the enrichment talks and enjoyed many of them. We went to all of the entertainment in the evening. Two nights of the same comedian was too much. The excursions were good but not all great. It's nice that they are complimentary if you choose the one they have designated complimentary, but it may not be exactly what you would really like to do. The embarkation was awesome but the disembarkation was horrible. There was a delay and everyone was crammed into one area. There was no seating and we had to stand the entire time. We met with the future cruise person and received a quote. We didn't follow through with booking; however, our credit card was charged and the cruise was booked. This was a big mistake of which we didn't appreciate. We were refunded our money but it was not a positive experience. We loved the Italian restaurant and went there twice. We went to the Chef's Table and didn't like that at all. We never went back. We received a credit for a future cruise because of the fact we didn't make it to Bermuda so we hope to use that and book a future Viking cruise.
Cabin was excellent. It was beautiful and had so much storage space. We loved our bathroom and the heated floors. We were in our cabin more this cruise just because it was so wonderful.
