This was not our first Viking river cruise. Viking is everything we have come to expect.

We were pleased with everything about the river cruise itself. Paris, not so much. I had been warned the Parisians weren't friendly and that was certainly the case. I was actually threatened with arrest for trying to take a camera into the Arc de Triumphe! Yeah, a camera. I would highly recommend the the river cruise though. It made up for the rude Parisians.

Now, for the river cruise. I'm sure some people probably don't like the fact that Viking berths in La Pecq. Quite frankly, we didn't have a problem with that. It was certainly quieter than being in Paris. With the provided shuttle there was ample time to walk the streets of Paris if you choose to do so. The cruise was everything that we have come to expect from Viking. The cruise director, Mimi, was part of what made this cruise so enjoyable. And, the hotel manager, Bea, was sure to make your stay enjoyable. Contrary to Paris the locals in the rest of France were friendly and enjoyable to interact with. It was also nice that the boat stayed docked for an extra day to give you time to explore Paris.
