Overall, this was a wonderful ship and cruise. Our previous experience on RCCL was on the Anthem of the Seas and ultimately were disappointed, or at least not over the top with the ship. The ONLY reason we had a less than perfect experience on the Anthem was because the staff was simply overwhelmed. With 5000 guests the staff just could not keep up with the demands of the people and cleaning everything from a previous outbreak of noro. But we liked the ship very much and all the activities.
My wife and I are 35 and 44 respectfully. We have 2 boys, 16 and 18 that we did not take on this cruise and one in the oven (2 months YES!!!!). The goal of this cruise was more of a just lay back and chill experience so that we could send some quality time before things get more and more hectic in the next 7 months. We can say this was a perfect cruise for just that experience. Here is the rundown...
Food: Food was average all around. Nothing spectacular, but it was all good food. Dining times were fine and we never felt rushed. The Windjammer had all we needed most times and the dining room staff were so sweet and attentive. We love the ice cream machines and hit those often. We ordered room service once and again, nice service with decent food.
Excellent. Clean and felt big with a server that kept up on everything so so well.
Easy on and off. We did the Mayan adventure with cave swim and it was WONDERFUL! We had so much fun swimming around and it was not over crowded at all. My wife's bicycle was bad, though and the pedal fell off! LOL We had to walk it back, but no big deal at all.
The lunch was spectacular.
Walked around for a bit, bit nothing big here. I do get tired of so many people trying to pull you into every store.
