Sail Date: Oct 2017

We've been looking at the brochures that came to the house for years and my husband finally said, "let's do it". We made our own air arrangements because we wanted to go business class and the business class airfare through Viking was too high. We arrived in Amsterdam a couple of days early and explored on our own.

We thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary and our accommodations. Having the balconies to sit on when sailing along the river and traveling through the 68 locks was wonderful. The highlight of the 15 day cruise was the quality of the guides. We received all the information we wanted and more. The extra programs (glassblowers, lectures and music) were terrific and added greatly to the entire experience. Though we were on the go everyday, it felt like an effortless trip. Everything was taken care of. The service onboard was efficient and friendly. Loved the daily soup selection. The food trended to the local cuisine.

Our one regret was that we didn't stay in Budapest longer, but left the day of disembarking.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda A

The cabin was comfortable. The cleaning crew was very efficient and we liked our location. We would have liked to see more video offerings related to our itinerary.
