My wife and I decided it was time to see Australia and this cruise seemed to have a great itinerary- It was horrible - The food which Oceania is known for and which we had enjoyed on earlier cruises was not good. It was the same quality we have had on lower end cruises. Our cabin smelled from mold as did other parts of the ship. The entertainment was awful- actually it was a joke.. There was one snafu after another and you got the feeling that the ships management was not giving anyone straight answers. The ship needs to be scraped . What is clear is that while the ship is dirty and old and moldy the service has clearly fallen from our previous experiences. The food should have still been on par with the past Oceania Cruises we enjoyed. I think the cruise line has fallen in response to the bean counters at NCL after they were recently acquired. It is clear that the quality of the experience has fallen tremendously in every category. This was like having a bad dream.

Cabin Review

Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom

Cabin A1

Moldy, dirty and old- The furniture was very worn out and the carpet was dirty. The bathroom sink was almost thread bare .

Port Reviews

Komodo Island

No choice but to book with cruise. The problem was it was over 100 degrees and they had everyone including very elderly and sick walk all around a big loop when the Dragons were located by a watering hole ( man made) right by the exit. The kind thing would have been to tell us there was an option to just go straight to see the animals. Instead it was a dog and pony show. People literally fell ill.
