This was our fourth annual Pan Cruise. We are a group of 8 and get together to play this weird card game everyday on the ship. Natalie our group coordinator was Outstanding. A pure delight. We had prearranged the use of Conference B by our TA.
We were a little worried about what the weather would be like, but it turned out to be fine. The Captain, one of the friendliest and I think youngest, avoided the weather issues. Although one night we rocked and rolled pretty good and our drawers and closet doors kept opening and then slamming shut. And you know they say "Happy Captain Happy Crew" and they were all friendly.
The ports were enjoyable. The highlight of the cruise for us was The Kennedy Space Center in Port Canaveral. Only one of the eight of us had been there before. We actually could have spent another day there if we had the time.
The location of our stateroom was perfect, but the problem was it was right next to the Crew Door that they came in and out of. ***That is the reason for my poor cabin rating.
So if you aren't an early riser I wouldn't recommend this room. I never had to set an alarm, because at 8am they came out with their carts and the door continuously slammed for about a half an hour.
We came in a day early which we always try to do especially due to the weather this time of year. We stay at Springhill Suites a Marriott property, One of our group is a native of Baltimore so she picked our dining the night before we boarded the ship. We went to Tio Pepe's. It was excellent and I would highly recommend it. It's been there for like 40 something years.
It was a beautiful day. We walked around the market and stopped at the Low Country Bistro for lunch. One wanted Se Crab Soup and others got Chicken and Waffles. I thought the Mac and Cheese with crab was very good.
It was the highlight of the trip!!! We went to the Kennedy Space Center.
There were 8 of us. On the way there we squeezed into an Uber van and on the way bay we took 2 Uber cars. We took the bus tour. I never realized how much land it encompassed. It was soooo interesting as I can remember exactly where I was when so many of those events took place. We easily could have spend another day there if we had the time.
Having been there a few times before some of our group didn't even get off the ship.
I always take the opportunity to get out and wonder around and of course SHOP!!!
There is a Senor Frog right there and it sounded like they were having a blast,
It is an easy walk to the main street where the designer shops are.
Our group took advantage of the Effy shop about half the price as on the ship.
We had dinner at Chops Grille. I was disappointed they no longer had the veal chop on the menu, but my Bone In Ribeye was very good. And the mushroom soup is always good. We had an excellent waiter Suvette, who we had coincidentally met that morning.
