My family did an 11-night Caribbean cruise with two other families. We made up about a quarter of the kids on board!
All of the crew was attentive, upbeat, and eager to please. After halfway through our cruise, we barely even had to tell our waitresses what we wanted to dinner - they had learned our preferences and told US what we would want from the evenings options!
Lunch in the Windjammer was a bit of a bore - it was almost exactly the same thing every day. There seemed to be more variety in the main dining room, but there was usually a scheduled family activity at 12:15 that we wanted to go to, and the main dining room didn't open until noon, so we always went to Windjammer. We started out going to the main dining room for breakfast, but then realized that Windjammer has better variety and even better food for breakfast a lot of times.
This room really was amazing! It's almost like a two-bedroom suite, thanks to heavy curtains that close off both the master bed area and the kids' bunk room. The living room area was very spacious, and the view out the front of the ship was great! The only problem - which can be a huge one - is the regular smell of cigarette smoke. The crew smoking area is on the deck below, and there are huge intake vents right there, which bring that cigarette smoke right into the room. (This room and 7504, on the opposite side.) It was particularly bad on port days, when there wasn't a strong wind to carry the smoke away. Another family apparently had kids who were having strong reactions to the cigarette smoke and actually had to moved to two separate rooms in different parts of the ship! We stayed in our stateroom, and they brought in a device to clear the air when we were at port and when we were at dinner. It's an amazing stateroom, but beware of the smoke if that's a concern to you.
