Sail Date: Mar 2018
Cabin: Junior Suite

We had a credit from RCL from a cruise on the Oasis this past June; and it expires in June 2018. We decided to use it on the Majesty of the Seas, and for the first time see what it is like to sail in a Junior Suite. The suite was fabulous, and on future cruises we will definitely go this route.

Our cruise had an enormous number of spring breakers on it, and it was fun to see all the young people having such a good time. The amount of alcohol consumed was considerable though; and according to some of the passengers that we spoke with, many of them overindulged to such an excess that they became sick in the hallways on the lower decks. We did not see any of this ourselves though.

Our 4 day itinerary included a trip to CocoCay arriving Tuesday morning and staying all day, and then departing for Nassau in the evening. The pool was open all day Tuesday and then closed for the rest of the cruise. The closing and draining, according to the Captain of the ship, was the result of unspecified mechanical problems. After spending the entire day in Nassau with no pool, the Captain announced at dinner that due to the pool closure we were going to Freeport (instead of 'At Sea'). This change to an all day stop in Freeport was a disappointment to us as we had not scheduled any shore excursions in favor of relaxing at the pool. I have no way of knowing whether mechanical reasons were the result of the pool closure, but other passengers that we spoke with claimed that some of the guests had vomited in the pool. It was an unfortunate result if true because there's really not much to do on this ship.

Cabin was excellent. First time that we sailed in a suite and will do so on any future cruises. Our room steward was attentive.
