We booked the December 17 2017 Aus & NZ cruise for 12 nights. Before I begin my review I want to let you know this was only my second cruise. I have only been on one other RCL Cruise and it was a big shop as well. My frame of reference is a little different than seasoned cruisers. I cruised with family members but we are an older group in our 50s - 70s.
Embarkation was easy. The port terminal at Sydney was very busy as the ship was fully booked. I thought they had it organized for the most part once you figured out where you had to go as there was no large signs you had to listen to people shouting. We got in the queue and were on the ship within the hour. The energy of the people in line was fun as this was the beginning of the cruise. You tell people were excited to get on the boat and they were very jovial.
Once we got on the ship we went to our cabins. Our cabins were connecting and on deck 10. They were both balcony cabins. (I was a single in my cabin.) As far as connecting goes it was really nice to be able to go back and forth to talk, etc. while we traveled without having to into the hall. The cabin was spotless and our steward was very nice. The storage was great. I believe if two people used the canin they would of had plenty of room and storage as well. The cabin had one issues. This ship has no mat for your luggage to unpack on. I really disliked that. Our steward was very good and kept the room clean and re-stocked all the time. I think by the end he really appreciated us because we try very hard to keep our cabins neat and organized. When you walk down the halls and see what they have to put up with in other cabins I really feel for them.
Roomy with lots of storage. Impeccably clean. Steward was excellent. Fisal Fnu was great. He was kind and receptive to me as a single cruiser. He made sure everything was ok each day. I asked him the first day for a couple of things and from then on he had them in the room everyday. Awesome!
