My 30th year with RCCL. Will be diamond plus. Feel it offers best overall cruise mix for the money.

Was second time on Anthem. Same foul persistent odor coming from toilet. Resisted my own efforts at cleaning (3 times a day with my own supplies). Suggest you bring along small quant of your favorite cleaner and a deodorizer. Other guests I spoke with complained about same thing. Had interior cabin 9129 forward.Was just fine. The virtual balcony made the room feel larger. King size bed was comfortable. Can be made into two singles. Large closet with plenty of space for two cruisers. Room would be too small for more than two. Bathroom was larger than on other ships. Shower was larger. Water was hot and pressure good. Lighting was plentiful. Dual built-in cell phone jacks. Cable TV with major news incl FOX, BBC, MSNBC. Everything on this ship feels overblown. It is just too big for me. (I prefer the Grandeur size ship) Over 4700 passengers can get to be too much. Hard to find chairs on deck during peak hours. Supposed to be a 30 min max hold but did not see any deck hands enforcing it. I had to get the deck manager involved for help. Make sure you avoid Jun/July/Aug if you do not wish to be overrun by the kids. Take longer cruise to avoid kids/teens/honeymooners.

Disembarkation is still a total mess. Once you leave the ships the smiles are over and you are largely on your own. You would think that after all these years RCCL could get it right. You are herded right out into the cold with no help. Not enough luggage porters. The few there are harried and unpleasant. Was on a bus tour. Got NO help from anyone finding my bus. I am disabled vet and had to argue with staff to use the handicapped line. Once again RCCL in business long enough to get this stuff right.
