Family group cruise on a very large ship. Allure of the Seas is beautiful...HOWEVER...with that comes long lines for the top deck Windjammer café (which is spread across two sides). It's tight dining and traffic flow is not good. The food is average and it seemed every day was the exact same thing as the day before. Breakfast was fine, but lunch or dinner was blah. Shows require reservations or you can stand in line for stand-by. You better book fast or you either 'hope' to get in on stand-by or miss a show completely. Either way, prepare to stand in long lines to get in. Main Dining room staff was excellent, but the menu was nothing to rave about. Central Park is pretty and holds the upscale specialty dining, but one walk thru was enough. Boardwalk was nice and had good variety of places to munch. Some you pay for, some you don't. The shopping was not that great; smaller ships had more stores than the Allure of the Seas. Probably because they devoted more to the Boardwalk and Central Park. Staff was pretty good. Lots of activities were available. BEWARE OF DECK TOWEL CHARGES IF YOU DON'T RETURN YOUR TOWEL. That was unexpected and not well managed. It's also not well advertised that if you don't return a towel, you are charged for it. And it's not like it's a premier towel to begin with. Overall? We'll stick to smaller ships than the Allure where crowd and traffic control isn't an issue.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin C2

Our cabin had a balcony overlooking Central Park. It was not worth the upgrade because you stare at the people on the OTHER side looking at you. Cabin's are smaller than expected and could use a better layout. But the ship cannot do anything about that now. Because of so many people on board, your cabin will be smaller than on other ships. Our attendant was wonderful.
