This is about our 40th cruise overall - I think the 12th on an NCL ship - just the 2 of us - we are both retired - in our early 70's - reasonably healthy - but no longer go on cruises for the jet-ski excursions, the zip-lines, the ATV adventures - but for the spas, the meals, and the service !

Embarkation day was horrible ! - Our flight arrived into LA at 9:00 AM - we expected to wait around the airport for a while - until the "transfer bus" filled up (like in past trips) - but - we waited until 11:30 to finally be escorted to a waiting bus to be driven to the ship) (note to self: don't use NCL transfers from the LAX airport again !)

Then - we had to wait until the ship was "cleared" before we could actually board) totally understandable - heard that many times before) - however there were no announcements made regarding the delay - just that the ship was not "ready yet" - finally - we boarded at about 1:30 PM - The "complaint" that we had was the lack of communication.....
