We chose this cruise in order to accompany relatives with special needs. One is a double amputee and the other has a hearing deficit. We were able to book an accessible cabin on this cruise at this time of the year, That is a rather difficult feat most any time.
Embarkation was a breeze as Royal Caribbean has a special line for wheelchair bound passengers. Once on board we found the ship to be all we had heard about it. Massive, beautifully appointed, and very modern.
Our cabins were just as advertised and we were pleased with their location. However, the accessible cabin was on deck 14 and was subject to noise from above every time someone "dragged and dropped" a deck chair on deck 15. The previous guest in our cabin had "locked" the cabin safe in the open position when they departed. Perhaps it was a prank, but it was NOT appreciated and was a huge PITA to get resolved by security.
Cabin was bigger than expected and we loved the balcony overlooking Central Park. You could sit out while the ship was underway and not get blown around. The music in the evening was a treat as well. Be aware you must close the sliding door to the balcony in order for the air conditioning in the cabin to work. If you leave it open it will get warm and humid in your cabin rather quickly.
The shower was a bit roomier too! When showering, if you want more water flow press the little tab on the knob and rotate it farther. Wide open it's like a fire hose!
Beginning and ending point. Nice port and very efficient at getting so many people through quickly.
The ubiquitous "Diamonds International" beckons all to come in and over spend, but the locals stores and artisan market are nice.
