The ports changed due to weather and high winds kept us at sea for extra days. We were sad to miss ports that were going to be new destinations, but happy that the captain kept us in safe waters. There were many activities on board for children, including a carousel, zip-line, flow riders, mini golf, meet and greet with Dreamworks characters... too many to lists. We did not travel with children. Entertainment was AMAZING!! Every evening was a top rate show. Additionally, there were many extra shows and activities to choose from that kept passengers busy.
We wished we would have purchased the "Dining Package" to eat at the specialty restaurants. The food and service in the main dining hall were good, but they didn't compare to the quality found in the restaurants that were extra. We decided to forgo the $100.00 for a night out, but they did offer packages to dine at multiple restaurants at a discount price. Next time we cruise we will probably choose the package deal.
We were disappointed in the attention to detail. Our cabin safe would not lock and after calling to have it fixed, no one showed up to take care of it. The safe and closet doors both banged open and shut multiple nights due to the rocking of the ship. The main dining room did not go out of their way to make changes to the menu. We were simply told they "see" but simply didn't accommodate us. At least three of the bars could not make their specialty drinks (that were on their menu) because they didn't have the ingredients in the bar. Some of the service staff responded like they were overworked or didn't enjoy their jobs. These disappointment are all relative to past cruises where we felt guests were treated with high standards. I would not "plan" to take another cruise on the Allure, but if I was invited to join others, I would easily agree.
The cabin was spacious. We had a good view of the aquatheater. The area was home to many children ( the carousel, the zip-line,the rock wall, the ball court, Johnny Rockets) so it was noisy outside on the balcony. Central park may have been a better choice for less noise. The theater was used for daily movies that were amplified too.

We traveled to Bob Marley's resort for lunch and beach time.
