Embarkation and disembarkation went well. The ship definitely needs to be updated. Cabins look so outdated. This ship should not be rated as 4.5 stars. The most disturbing thing is that staff was very unhappy and not trying to please customers at all. This made my experience with RCL Adventures of the Sea very bad. I knew that their job is hard, working non-stop 11 hours a day and 7 days a week. However, they chose to work in a entertaining industry, they have to be positive and make people feel welcome and happy. I did not feel welcomed and happy to be on this ship. In addition, entertaining was as bland as the food in the buffet. Furthermore, my stomach could not handle their food despite of my world travelling experience and globally trying different food . I felt bloated and burped out the greasiness of the food everyday . Pasta and spaghetti were left on the warmer for so long that it felt like baby food, melting in your mouth and not "al dente" at all. In addition, cruisers use serving utensils and threw them back on the food with the dirty handles. I was very worried at this sight and luckily that there was nothing happened this time on the ship. Adding to the insult, dishes were not cleaned properly; stains and left over food were visible from the "clean" dishes and cups. It was not hygienic at all. Food in the dining is much better. However, I could not contact reservation in order to book for my time of choice unless I wanted to eat dinner at 9pm???. I saw a cleaning staff who was on the phone non stop. I meant non-stop every day. I do not think that I want to sail again with RCL again.
