The wife wanted to go on a Green Bay Packers Legends Cruise and The Independence of the seas was the ship. Our 1st cruise was on a RCCL ship. My wife said she always remembered RCCL, I now have been on 25 cruises and my wife 15 cruises. RCCL was supposed to be over the top. The best of everything. The flow rider was not always open the Ice skating rink was not always open. They only had a few 30 minuet sessions in order to take advantage. The food at least for me was mostly overcooked. Chops was $46.00 cover and if you wanted lobster it was another $25.00. At home for $81.00 I can get that and still have money left over. I don't mind paying a $25.00 extra cover charge. The food was just OK. The ship was just a 7 for being clean. Crumbs on the floor at the very 1st meal and we just got on the ship. The bar service was very slow, Maybe because of spring break or maybe because bartenders served customers hold 5 and 6 drink cards at a time. The overall crew just did not seem to be happy to have a job. Our room Stewart was the best part of the cruise, He was always happy and always greeted us with a smile. The video game room has two many broken games, The air hockey table is broken, about 8 games go off line and you don't get your money back. Most games are $1.25 per play. Johnny Rockets was good. weather was good and the ports all good. The show Grease was good, Our bed was horrible the little foam mattress cover was worn out and the sheets are not long enough for the bed. The pillows are not that great, Bring you own pillow if you can, you will sleep better.
Other cabins that I have been in had more space for clothes. The shower water pressue was the best flow of water on a cruise ship I have been on. So water flow A+++, Airport luggage valet A+++, other than that no props.
