This was our second cruise with RC. We choose this cruise as it has longer sailing days without stopping at a port every day - so we could relax and unwind. The Ship was spacious and clean. Both other guest and staff were friendly - with a good mix of people from different countries and ages. Our stateroom on Deck 7 at the front of the ship was spacious - and our room attendant Leonard was very friendly and attentive to our needs and kept our room clean and lively with the different displays (made with towels). This put a smile on our faces every day. Thank you.

There was a lot of actively on the ship to do and a range of entertainment which we enjoyed (especially the comedy shows). The RC singers also performed on several evenings which was also very good. The special events put on by the Captain with free Champagne as also welcome and brought the guest together. Although the ship was full, you never got the sense of being overcrowded. There was always a lovely atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the food in the Sapphire restaurant was not very good - for example , the lamb chops were rubbery; Lasagne dish had no taste. so after trying it on three separate evenings we decided to use the main dining room; where there was a large selection of food, which seemed to be cooked to a higher standard. I was disappointed and shocked on the amount of wastage of food , being binned every day. Hopefully RC will take this into account and budget/plan more carefully.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin I

Nice spacious cabin, with a sofa. Comfortable bed and bedding. Adequate size bathroom. Had enough storage for two adults and extra hangers were available on request. Our cabin attendant was kind enough to provide us with tea-making facilities which made our stay extra special.
