We celebrated our 30th anniversary in October, 2017 by taking a 15 day river cruise in Europe. We arrived in Amsterdam the day of sailing. We were met at the airport by Viking Representatives and taken to our ship. The Viking Modi made a great first impression! We were greeted by friendly, smiling faces and the staff went out of their way to make our trip a first class experience.
We did the 15 day cruise and all of the included excursions. We enjoyed every excursion - the staff was very organized and the transport to and from the excursions was very prompt. The tour guides were wonderful and made our experience a lot of fun.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner most days on the ship. The food was great, with a nice variety of choices. The dining room service was great; the servers were very friendly and made every meal and enjoyable experience.
Cabin Review
Veranda Stateroom
Our cabin was on the lower deck, water level. It was very small but we had everything we needed. At first, I was disappointed with the size of the cabin. I came to realize that for the amount of time we spent in the cabin, size didn't matter.
The cabin was very clean and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for storing our clothes and luggage
