5 years ago I decided to try RCCL on the Jewel of the Seas, coming over from Carnival. I was total won over and was highly impressed with RCCL and JOTS. Fast forward 5 years, and my mind is blown on how much it has changed and not in a good way. I am now truly thinking about other lines. Here are the changes that have reflected my difference in opinion:

1. Staffing changes - it appeared that the staff was reduced by 50%, causing those who already have a tough work schedule to work even more. The staff were trying their hardest to please but they were just over worked. Kudos to the staff on this, shame on you RCCL.

2. Room Size- room size has changed and it was a tremendous difference. Although the sq footage was minimal it made a huge difference in the room. The rooms have narrowed so much you can't even store your luggage under the bed. I was forced to share my side of the closet with my husband in order to store the luggage on his side of the closet.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Reduced size, couldn't even get past my husband when wanting to move around. Bad decision on the part of RCCL to reduce the size of the rooms
