I was part of a group of 53 (yes fifty three!) people who sailed in September on the pride. Our cruise was diverted to Canada instead of the Bahamas due to all the hurricanes hitting. We were offered to either cancel and be fully refunded or still go and they would give us 25% off our next one. We chose to go and this cruise was our 25% off one.

I will begin by stating that September was my 5th cruise but 1st time with Carnival and I was NOT impressed. Every bar was shut down by 11 pm except the casino and the dance club but both of those were smoking and the ventilation did not appear to be working. I do not smoke and can normally handle a decent amount but these two areas were almost suffocating with smoke. We had a few in our group who were extremely sensitive to it and they couldn't even sit in the main atrium that was next to the Casino because it was lingering around.

The pools were ice cold until our last day but the most disappointing was the hot tubs - they were barely even luke warm for the entire trip.

Very pleasantly surprised with our room. The doors opened so you could feel the temperature outside, we were right in between the life boats so we could still see the water and look out. Comfy bed, decent size room

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

You have to use transportation to get from carnivals pier. We used Uber because it was cheaper than the 15 dollar/person shuttle they offered when you got off the boat. we went to Ron Jons surf shop, the Florida key lime pie company, and cocoa beach pier before using a SCAT bus to go to Grills seafood restaurant right outside the terminals. Grills was AMAZING and I highly recommend it

Nassau

My 3rd time here. We just walked around the marketplace and shops. Stopped at a few restaurants and bars for food and drinks. easy to navigate

Freeport

We stayed next to the ship. Walked around the marketplace, got drinks at Fat Tuesdays and Senor Frogs then got back on the ship
