We chose this cruise for the Sail Dates and the Destinations because our kids 14 and 12 were on spring break. We also had our 17 yr. Old Niece with is us. This was our 2nd. Cruise, but first was with Carnival. Our first cruise was with Disney. (Disney pampers you!) First of all, Embarkation went really smoothly. When we finally got in our Room U-88 (SUITE) we found that the room was not as clean as it should have been, we mentioned it and it was taken care of right away, the room steward (Nancy) was so sweet, but she shed tears over the missed mess and explained to us the she was training New crew and she was sorry for not double checking! Training seemed to be an issue ship wide, as Sensation must be a training ship. Older crew training younger crew. As I said before we had 3 teenagers with us, not much for them to do, sure they had their Camp Rooms to go to; if you want to go to very small, crampt, stuffy rooms. The swimming pool is also really small (Don't trust pictures) and loaded with kids and so were the 2 hot tubs. The adult only section was also really small with no pool only 2 hot tubs. Needless to say too small of areas for the amount of people on ship.

Food, okay I am kinda a picky eater, but to me their was not much to choose from other than Guy's Burger Joint. Sit down dinners were nice, but limited unless you paid more. The buffet lines for Breakfast and Lunch were extremely long and the food was not a warm as it should have been. 24hr. Pizza was okay, if you want paper thin pizza and somewhat burnt! If you want better breakfast go to the dinning room and order from the menu vs the buffet; no lines and made to order food! 24hr. Ice Cream was also okay if you like soft serve (Ice milk) not scooped. You only get scooped in the resturant. Bottomless Bubbles, not really worth it, if you want soda from a can and flat tasting. And you can only get 1 glass every every 15 mins. We are not drinkers so the Cheers package need not apply. As for other drinks, the water that was available was okay, but kinda musty tasting. They also offered self serve Lemonade and Iced Tea, no other juices were offered! The entertainment was good, but 1/2 hr. To 1 hr. Shows. Could have been longer since there was not much else to do! Overall, we had a good time, but what we takeaway from this cruise would be, do more research on the ship and it's amenities.
