We choose this cruise for the convenience of being able to travel from our home port of Los Angeles. This was our first cruise on Princess and will it will likely be out last. The overall experience was good but the Princess cruise experience did not compare favorably to our cruises on Celebrity and Holland America.

SHIP:

The ship is in good condition and seemed to be very clean and well maintained. I did not notice any of the soiled carpet/upholstery issues or areas of rust mentioned in other reviews. Many reviews have stated that the ship is "old", which I find strange since it was only built in 2008 and has undergone a refurbishment within the last 2-3 years. The cruise was sold out and the public areas of the ship seemed very crowded all the time.

Cabin Review

Cabin BD

Small bathroom and shower. Smaller than standard veranda cabins on Celebrity and HAL. No foot stools for deck chairs.
