I needed a non-smoking ship for the Yangtze River cruise and so opted for this 'American' ship rather than one of the Chinese ships for that reason. It was a great choice. The ship is small but beautifully appointed with a large dining room, large bar and lounge area, fitness room, beauty facilities and lots of outdoor space. Don't bother booking a higher rated cabin, they will upgrade you as you get on board for a fraction of the price.

The cabins were well appointed. The staff couldn't be more helpful, cleanliness and hygiene were paramount, the food was plentiful although fixed to one-hour mealtimes as well as a bit bland at times and modified for Westerners but that was to be expected. Excursions were excellent. Dr Lee, on- board Chinese doctor fixed a leg problem that I have had for months! It was a really fantastic trip, an intimate ship and highly recommended.
