Sail Date: Mar 2018
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

The ship was at full capacity with 4500 passengers. One third of the passengers or 1500 were children under the age of 18. They were let loose and were running wild all over the ship. There was absolutely no control and no one said anything to them. It was almost as bad in the Diamond lounge. Not the fault of the children. It is the parents. The meals were on par with eating at Denny's. You use to cruise to enjoy the wonderful meals. I do not recall one meal that was worth mentioning. The starters were the same thing every night. The specialty restaurants, I understand were good if you wanted to pay $40 per person. I have done this cruise 3 times in the last year and a half. Each time the quality of things has gone down. Corners were cut everywhere. If this was my first cruise I would never cruise again. The ship was clean and seemed well cared for. My cabin was fine. The mattress was in good shape this time and must have been newer. As I said the meals were edible, nothing great. Service was good in the dining room as they tried to move you out quickly. Saturday Night Fever was terrible and people were walking out. The aerial show was good. The ports and excursions were fine. Costa Maya Port was updated since my last visit and was impressive.

Cabin was fine. Attendant was good.

Port Reviews

Galveston

Port was clean and efficient!

Costa Maya

It was too windy to take an excursion, but there was lots to do in the port terminal.
