We left out of Galveston, Texas and it was pretty smooth getting checked in. Once we got to waiting to board area it was a bit confusing and the pressure sales for drink packages and dinner packages started. Once we got on the ship it was nice. Rooms were originally supposed to be ready at 1 pm. That changed to 1:30 and then 2 PM. Not a huge deal just would have been nice to know the exact time. We had a balcony suite on level 9 and it was a great room and level of ship to not get a bunch of spray when the ship was moving. We had joining cabins with family friends in the connecting room and it was perfect! Room was a good size, our cabin steward was Abraham Lincoln and he was outstanding!!!!! Our room was done up in the morning and also turned down at night. He was super friendly and checked in on us often! Great employee!!!!

We purchased the 3 dinner package and went to Giovanni's, Chops and Sabor. All 3 restaurants were OUTSTANDING!!! The service was great, food was great and atmosphere was really nice! Deluxe Drink package was good. We both purchased it and we had no issues. We liked that it included the specialty coffees too. We ate at Rembrant for our anytime dinners and the food was outstanding and service was amazing! We ate at the Windjamer Buffet and the food overall was good. A few things over cooked however everything else was yummy. There were 7 of us total and we all were happy with the food there. We saw before going that they had sushi however we never saw any.

Bars we went to were good, the pub was one of our favorites. Got treated really well in there and drinks were good. We went to Olive and Twist and really liked the location and vibe of it. During the day kids are allowed and at night time is adults only. Piano bar was fun! Boleros Lounge was a great bar as well, music and good drinks! The bar in the Casino was another favorite for service and taste of drinks. Sheldon was great. He remembered my husband and my drinks from 3 days earlier! Great service from him!!!

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Costa Maya and that was a fun island. We took a taxi the downtown area. It was along the beach. Lots of shopping and had some food and drinks on the beach. Massages on the beach too. Great deal for 7 of us to get massages!!! Probably one of the best I have had! Great day and relaxing!

Cozumel

We went to the downtown area. Lots of stores to shop in. Quite a few had people outside being kind of pushy and in your face to go in their shop. We know that is their business however when they don't stop it gets kind of old quickly. Some people we came across were very nice and not pushy.
