Traveled on the Jewel of the Seas which is a smaller vessel with approximately 2900 passengers. The crew was amazing in every department, always having a smile. You could really tell they wanted to provide an amazing level of service. The overall food experience in the main dining was superb even for a cruise. I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and taste mostly in the evening. The shows were of very high quality. The energy in the Centrum was upbeat. We had one particular team member in the dining room that managed to remember everyone's name from the very first day - Amal. Overall the staff was incredible. The only experience I would change was the Cruise shopping Director.
Of all the stops, St Lucia was the one I would not repeat. We went to the beach and were bombarded by people selling constantly and it was very hard to truly enjoy the experience. They will charge you in the public beach for using chairs and umbrellas and overall their demeanor is not pleasant. If you stop there take an excursion.
The room was a balcony and it was great. Drinking coffee in the mornings or having a moonlit drink in the balcony is a fantastic experience.
spacious, comfortable, great view. bathroom is small with limited space to place toiletries but manageable.
Great for shopping. good jumping spot for St John's - fabulous beaches
Have done snorkeling here in the past and it is really good.
Another port where an excursion is a good idea or just head the beach.
take an excursion or stay in the ship!
