We chose this cruise as a getaway for the family, including two teens on spring break. This was our fourth Coastal cruise and the most disappointing. It seemed to me that a majority of the staff was on the first week of an assignment. The room steward was completely clueless, the head waiter had far too many tables and seemed confused by the new menu, the assistant waiter was invisible, the table waiters in the International were sometimes rude, but mostly hiding out in the back. Our room steward could not understand English, did not fill requests and was probably the worst we have seen in 42 Princess cruises.

Entertainment has deteriorated to the point that it is mostly guests entertaining guests with mindless games and trivia. Professional entertainment has disappeared from Explorers and the Wheelhouse has mostly recorded music.

We enjoyed most of the ports and the addition of Monterey in place of Santa

The cabin was fine as always - very nice beds. The problem was the clueless steward..
