We chose this cruise package because of the destinations. We have been on quite a few different cruise lines but hadn't been on a Princess before. We embarked the cruise in Singapore and the queues were massive and slow moving. We arrived at the terminal at 12.30 and did not get to our cabin until gone 4pm. The fact that there were two cruise ships embarking didn't help I'm sure. A bit of poor planning perhaps? The ship is about a year old but I found one or two issues that pointed to poor build quality of some of the internal structure. For example some hand rails in the public areas were loose and out balcony sliding door was extremely stiff and creaked and groaned all night. The seating in the bars was very limited and filled up very quickly. There is a POLICY that forbids the reserving of sun beds on the pool deck but this was not policed at all. At any one time up to half the beds were reserved with towles, books etc but otherwise empty. We even noted some people reserving two beds each, one in the sun and one in the shade. The entertainment was only so-so. There were a couple of excellent comedians but not much else to excite. Food was good to very good and the choice was wide and interesting. The cabins were a little smaller that we have previously experienced but adequate and the bed was comfortable.
As I said we chose this cruise for the itinerary and here we were not disappointed. In future we may use Princess but again only for the itinerary not for the ship.
