Sail Date: Mar 2018

This was our 13th cruise on our 12th ship. Initially worried as our worst two cruises have been on the dream nasty ship. If dream was bad discovery was at the other end of the spectrum ie excellent. Flew out of Birmingham premium and it was very good and comfortable. We were on the first bus to the ship; so sailed through registration and onto the ship where we dumped our hand luggage and started to explore. First stop was reception where we upgraded to premium A/L. We dont like cheap plonk and low class spirits and I kept a note of all those £2.50 that we didnt spend and the£6 for a decent prosseco and we came out £300 above the A/L cost. Food in all eateries was good except in self service, Roast beef yorkshire pudding and only chips is not right. Staff everywhere were the most friendly we have ever come across. The one major wind up was men wearing shorts after 6 o clock, when were swimming short ever been tailored, I hate formal nights smart casual should be the norm. Trips (4) were good but as with all cruise lines expensive, Harrison caves in Barbados very good. Trip home on the Dreamliner much better than the old 767 .

Previous cruise on airtours ( seawing, carousel, sunbird) Ocean village 1&2 P&O azura, britannia, oceana, ventura and Thomson spirit, dream(2) and now discovery. Already booked on discovery2 at christmas

Cabin Review

Cabin deluxe balcony

Bigger than expected and quiet. Large suitcases can be stored in wardrobe. Balcony just big enough not like P&O Britannia. Bed was comfortable and pillows OK. Tea and coffee kept topped up all through cruise
