I booked this cruise a full year in advance. My wife is a teacher and this was her Spring Break, so we did the 7 day Mexican Rivera Cruise. Our second time on this specific cruise and our 8th on Princess. Being frequent Princess cruisers we knew exactly what to expect and things were as we expected, and I like that. Some minor improvements have been made and some areas that could be improved.

I booked a Balcony, but was offered the move-over to inside for a full refund and took the offer. The inside cabin on Rivera Deck was great, last cabin next to door to the rear pool area, so we had quick access to the outdoors. Giving up the balcony in exchange for 2 grand - turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the weather was gray, cold to cool and the last two days, 12 foot waves and 29 knot winds would have made the balcony less useful.

We did Curtis Stones Share for the first time, why not with a huge OBC. It was good, even very good, but wouldn’t do it again. First the limited menu rules out repeat visits, unless willing to eat the same things, and while very good just didn’t seem to be up to the added cost. When I asked if the menu ever changes, the response was no. Not even an occasional seasonal addition.
