We chose this trip to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. I was a little concerned because it was school vacation week for much of New England, thinking the ship would be overrun with children. But given that I am a school administrator this is the only time we could do this cruise. But it was PERFECT! We splurged for a Grand Suite with Balcony - if you can afford it - DO IT! It was so worth it! Our balcony was amazing with two cushioned lounge chairs, plus a small table with two chairs. We spent several afternoons reading and snoozing in the sun while at sea. My husband loved the Northstar and the iFly. We ate most of our meals in the Coastal Kitchen - totally free for suite guests - just as good if not better than the specialty restaurants. Can't say enough about all the staff at Coastal - especially Vlad our server, who gave us the best recommendations for dinner every night. Our cabin steward - Dexter - worked tirelessly from morning tonight keeping our room spotless, our ice bucket filled, and fresh wine glasses in our state room every day. Ricardo, the Suite Concierge, made every reservation happen for us. Ketut, the waiter during the nightly happy hour in the concierge lounge, had our order memorized after the first night.

Entertainment was solid. Not super impressive but solidly good. The best entertainment was the Name That Tune show featuring guests on the ship. Don't miss Matt Yee and the Adult Sing Along in the Schooner Bar - he really gets the party going.

We did the Kennedy Space Center which was interesting. The ship did not stop in Coco Cay due to high winds but we were able to get into Nassau early. We did the snorkel and lunch excursion to Pearl Island. The food was great and the private island was beautiful.

Grand Suite with Balcony

Cabin GS

So beautiful! Loved the LARGE bathroom - bigger than my bathroom at home! Two sinks! Full tub and shower. Couldn't use all the storage there was so much. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the really large balcony. Great place to read and enjoy the sunshine. Had tea out there every morning and drinks every evening.
