Overall, this cruise was amazing. This was my second time on Freedom and I already know isn't my last. However, there were many changes that I liked and didn't like.

Food- It seems that the food quality in the MDR has gone downhill from the last 2 years. When I originally went on Freedom 2 years ago, food quality, presentation, and service was considerably better in the MDR. However, now they have cut the bread person to offer bread, so you're left with a bowl of multiple types of breads - some of which I did not like. They also now make you predetermine if you want desert or not before you've even had your meal which I'm definitely not a fan of. Also, the food selection was nowhere near up to standard of my last cruises with Royal. Infact, it seems they are using the same menu in exception of 2 or 3 dishes. However, the steaks never fail to impress me. We eventually got to the point of just eating at windjammer or specialty restaurants instead of the MDR because of the selection. The Windjammer food and staff was simply incredible. The staff was very nice and personable. The food quality in windjammer was the best I've ever had in a buffet in my life, and even better than in the MDR. We also ate at Chops Grille, which was an improvement from the MDR. The steaks were very good and the sides were very flavorful. Wait staff was incredible, very patient and nice. In addition to Chops Grille, we ate at Sabor, which I was absolutely amazed. This was simply the best food I've ever had on a cruise ship. Royal Caribbean knows what they are doing with Sabor because this was just the best Mexican food I ever ate in my life.

Cabin- Cabin was spacious, plentiful room, not enough plugs though. I understand the age of the ship, but the next drydock in 2020, they need to add more plugs! With more and more electronics coming on board, you need to compensate with the number of plugs on a ship. Also, by the bedside table, there wasn't a plug present on either side of the beds.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

Very clean cabin, very nice stateroom attendant, beds were a bit firm, but that doesn't bother me.
