#1 reason for taking this cruise was to avoid air travel. It was convenient and brought us to a place far enough away from the daily grind of NYC. I was most impressed with the embarkation and disembarkation there were no issues whatsoever. The previous cruise to ours had cases of norovirus and they delayed out embarkation for extra cleaning. I'm happy to report I heard of no cases of norovirus on our cruise but I was diligent about where I was touching and constantly cleaning my hands. The room was a balcony room and it was most comfortable for two. Clean and modern. I had the most quiet and comfortable sleep while in that stateroom. Balcony views are always amazing. The stateroom attendant was great. Always smiling and friendly. He didn't annoy us and we tried not to annoy him, yet everytime I left the room I'd come back to fresh towels and a straightened up bathroom. Love it. (I should have smuggled him home to my house, thank you Daryl) The ship is beautiful and with so many people on board the public restrooms are pretty, modern and clean considering. Pools were too crowded for my taste so I avoided. The Solarium though beautiful was always crowded except aroung 4 pm when everyone starts leaving to get ready for dinners and shows. The shows were amazing, Spectra and We Will Rock you were top notch and extra points for having LAvation (U2) cover band on board. The comedian JR McCollum was great had everyone laughing but do not get up during his show or you will be called out! The food: I ate in Windjammer for breakfast and it was very good. Lunches were mostly in 270 I just liked that it was less chaotic and lighter fare. I did try seaplex hotdogs, alright. Johnny rockets is always good and was $2.50 for a burger. Ate in TMD every night and food was sometimes hit or miss. Didn't like some of the pastas but loved the lobster tails, beef medallions, desserts, appetizers were always good. The experience would have just been alright if we didn't have the best servers on the ship, Jhonny & Juan who entertained us nightly with his comedic Magic tricks. They really made our dinners enjoyable and unforgettable. We really appreciated the special treatment from them. Give those guys a raise!

There is plenty to do on this ship or not if you so choose. The one complaint is there should be more music around the ship very quiet moments at points on the outside decks ( oh and a shout out to Odel working hard on those decks every afternoon!) there could be music during dinner which would make it much nicer. The late night DJ wasn't good, he caters to a crowd of about 60 people and the other 4,440 people need to go to bed or make other plans lol. Think there should be more dance options for people so that was disappointing. The stops were Cape Canaveral which is boring if you've been to FL before. I'd rather spend two days in Cococay which btw is beautiful and so much fun. If you book an excursion on Cococay you won't need a tender time, you get to leave on first tender over. Nassau was fun and there were options to do different things we went to blue lagoon island which was great. We had fantastic weather and maybe one night where I really felt the ship rocking but otherwise we were lucky on weather. All in all it was a fantastic experience.
