Sail Date: Apr 2018

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and wanted something special. This ship did not disappoint. We arrived at Amsterdam and stayed overnight before sailing the next afternoon to Cologne. The ship is light and airy, spotlessly clean and no irritating tannoys going off all the time. That is kept to an absolute minimum.

The service on board was First Class with great team work between all the crew which made for a very lovely holiday. The cabins were comfy and air conditioning was just right. The beds (and pillows) were comfortable - just not enough time in them! There are a lot of activities which keep you occupied; on board and ashore.

The food was delicious and as we passed through different regions then the meals prepared reflected the country we were in. The plates were scalding hot and the food always piping hot too. Amazing how they do it for 180 people all eating at the same time each night.... Plenty of food too and snacks at various times of the day and night.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panorama balcony suite

Very clean, light and airy. Air conditioning was just right although adjustable to taste. Very quiet and just like a hotel room. In fact, you wouldn't have known you were on water as virtually no movement detectable. There were a reasonable number of hangers in the wardrobe although I usually take some with me just in case! I would have liked another drawer in bedroom but there is a deep one under the sink which does help make up for it.

Cabin steward made the usual towel sculptures which are fun.
